Bubba Anderson
FO – 5-8 – 180 – Montgomery Village, Maryland/St. Johns College HSAnderson was a WCAC First Team and Washington Post Honorable Mention selection in 2014, while also earning the Team's Offensive MVP honor. Anderson currently holds his high school's record for most career face-off wins (890).
Graham Bocklet
LSM – 5-11 – 160 – Waccabuc, New York/John JayBocklet, a long-stick middie from Waccabuc, New York, was selected as an all-section performer in each of his final three seasons in high school.
John Brainard
M – 6-3 – 195 – New Canaan, Connecticut/New Canaan/UMassBrainard, a transfer from UMass, tallied 24 goals and 22 assists during his senior year of high school. He helped lead his team to the FCIAC Championship title in 2012.
Zack Bucci
M – 5-11 – 175 – Crown Point, Indiana/Crown PointBucci was named to the all-conference first team and earned all-state honorable mention selections in his junior and senior seasons. In 2013, he finished sixth in the state with 74 points.
Patrick Buono
G – 6-1 – 195 – East Greenbush, New York/ColumbiaBuono was a team captain and Unsung Hero Award winner as a goalie at Columbia High School. In 2011-12, Buono made 167 saves and posted a .480 save percentage in net.
Matt Burke
LSM – 6-0 – 175 – Timonium, Maryland/Calvert HallBurke, a long-stick middie, played alongside classmate Dan Flock at Calvert Hall. As a senior, Burke picked up 25 ground balls and registered four assists on the year.
Andrew Duffy
M – 5-10 – 180 – Katonah, New York/John Jay/SUNY CortlandDuffy, a transfer from SUNY Cortland, was named an all-Section and all-league performer during his senior year at John Jay High School in 2013.
Dan Flock
G – 5-10 – 165 – Ellicott City, Maryland/Calvert HallFlock comes to Vermont from Calvert Hall, where he played goalie for the Cardinals. In 2012, he helped lead his squad to the MIAA Championship title.
Matt Gudas
M – 5-10 – 170 – Concord, New Hampshire/Holderness SchoolGudas, a team captain for his senior season, was named an All-Lakes Region performer in his final three seasons at Holderness. In 2014, Gudas tallied 25 goals and 45 assists.
Nate Howard
M – 6-0 – 189 – Damascus, Maryland/St. Johns College HSHoward was an all-league honorable mention selection in 2014 en route to leading his team to a WCAC Championship. Howard registered 20 goals and 21 assists during his senior campaign.
James Leary
D – 5-10 – 185 – Seabrook, New Hampshire/Governor's AcademyLeary, a team captain for his senior season, won the Coaches' Award and also helped lead his squad to a league championship title in 2012.
Christian Magnan
LSM – 5-10 – 185 – Bedford, New York/Fox Lane/SUNY CortlandMagnan played alongside Duffy at SUNY Cortland last season and appeared in 11 games for the Red Dragons. In high school, Magnan was an all-section and all-league performer.
Bailey Martin
A – 5-11 – 155 – Wilmington, Delaware/SalesianumMartin led his Salesianum squad to state championship titles from 2011-13. In his senior season, he was a team captain and earned the squad's Offensive Player of the Year honor.
Jake Richards
D – 6-1 – 180 – Dover, Massachusetts/Salisbury SchoolIn 2014, Richards was tabbed West Division I Defensive Player of the Year and also earned a spot on the New England West All-League team. Richards was a team captain at Salisbury his senior season.
Tim Shield
A – 6-1 – 210 – Mansfield, Massachusetts/The Taft SchoolShield joins the Catamounts after spending his high school years at the Taft School, where he finished second on the team in goals (25) during his senior campaign.
Cam Stafford
A – 6-0 – 170 – Greenwich, Connecticut/Brunswick SchoolStafford collected rookie of the year honors and also earned an all-league selection in 2013. In his final season at Brunswick, Stafford tallied 34 goals and seven assists.
Connor Van Ryn
M – 5-8 – Whitby, Ontario/The Hill AcademyVan Ryn played his high school lacrosse for The Hill Academy and also played Junior B for the Clarington Green Gaels in box lacrosse. Van Ryn tallied 13 goals and 27 assists in 14 games this past summer for Clarington.
The Catamounts return eight of their top 10 scorers from last year's squad, including
Ian MacKay (42 pts.),
Nick Bartlett (21) and
Andrew Buckanavage (20). MacKay was named America East Rookie of the Year after leading all conference freshmen in both points and goals per game in 2014.
