BURLINGTON, Vt. – Head coach
Kate Pfeifer announced her 2015 recruiting class today for the fall's upcoming season by adding nine new members to the squad. The class includes athletes spanning five different states and four international students.
"This class brings significant experience and talent to our team," said Pfiefer. "Each of these athletes has played at a high level, and will contribute to the program as we begin the next phase of development. The breadth of their hockey experience both domestically and internationally is exciting."
Chelsey CleemoffMidfield • 5'8" • Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia/ Frances Kelsey SecondaryCleemoff, a two-year captain for Frances Kelsey, was acknowledged as British Columbia Field Hockey Girl's Athlete of the year in 2012. She received Cowichan Valley Conference Top Six Athlete honors as a senior in 2014. Cleemoff represented British Columbia at the U18 Canadian Women's National Championship in 2014.

Jenny DiehlMidfield • 5'4" • Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge High SchoolDuring Diehl's four years with Basking Ridge High School's field hockey squad, she earned captain distinction in 2015 while being named to the All-North New Jersey First Team. Diehl was a two-time Athlete of the Month and First Team All-County in 2014 and 2015.
Carla GodsmanForward • 5'3" • Glasgow, Scotland/The High School of GlasgowA native of Glasgow, Scotland, Godsman captained the High School of Glasgow 2015 State Runner-Up team. Godsman was also a member of the U-16 Scottish Area team that won two championships in 2012 and 2013.

Olivia HurdBack • 5'7" • Bolton, Mass./Nashoba Regional High SchoolHurd captained the 2014 Division I Massachusetts State Finalist field hockey team while earning MVP honors three separate seasons and Central MA Division 1 Player of the year in 2014. She was a four-year League All-Star, finishing her career with a total of 26 career goals and 36 assists.
Maya KarosasForward • 5'11" • Stowe, Vt./Kimball Union AcademyWhile attending Kimball Union Academy in Meridon, N.H., Karosas captained her field hockey and ice hockey teams. She also earned Lakes Region All-Star honors in field hockey.

Rachael PicchiAttack • 5'8" • Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendahowa High SchoolPicchi was a member of the 2013 New York State Field Hockey State Champion team while earning First Team All-Region honors in 2014 and 2015. During her senior campaign 57 total goals while captaining the 2015 lacrosse team. Picchi was awarded 2015 Saratogian Girls Lacrosse Athlete of the Year accolades.

Lauren TuckerDefense • 5'8" • Brisbane, Australia/St. Ritas College ClayfieldLauren Tucker captained St. Rita's 2011 field hockey squad and the 2012 North's Junior Club team. She was also a member of Queensland Indoor Field Hockey in 2012 and Queensland U18 team that toured New Zealand this past summer.

Landon WarrenForward • 5'3' • Baltimore, Md./Roland Park Country SchoolAs a three-sport athlete in high school, participating in track, basketball and field hockey, Warren earned captain positions during her junior and senior field hockey seasons.
Greer WilsonMidfield • 5'3" • Brisbane, Australia/Somerville House SchoolWilson was a team captain for the 2014 Somerville High School State Champion team and the 2014 QLD Schoolgirls field hockey team. She was also recognized as Northern Suburbs 2013 Field Hockey MVP. Wilson spent the summer touring with Queensland U18 team in New Zealand.
The Catamounts begin their 2015 regular season in a 1 p.m. match at Hofstra on August 28 in Hempstead, N.Y. UVM returns to Moulton Winder Field September 6 for its home opener against Rider at 1 p.m.
The squad returns 10 starters from last season, including senior captain and 2
nd team 2014 All-Conference selection
Molly Higgins, and sophomores
Lena Benwood and
Taylor Gaines, both All-Rookie selections in 2014. Gaines let the team in points (12) and goals (5) as a freshman.
