DENVER – University of Vermont men's lacrosse head coach Chris Feifs has been invited to speak at the 4th annual 3d Lacrosse Coaching Summit. The event will take place on Thursday (Oct. 27) at 3d Lacrosse Headquarters.

Feifs will speak on the development of individual and team defenses and detail his coaching experience, specifically as a defensive coordinator.
 
He will be joined at the event by John Grant Jr. of the MLL's Ohio Machine and NLL's Colorado Mammoth, Dave Huntley of the MLL's Atlanta Blaze and Jamie Munro of 3d Lacrosse. Grant will discuss shooting, finishing and dodging while Huntley will cover offensive philosophy, perspective and tactics. The founder of 3d Lacrosse, Munro will present on fostering skilled players.
 
Feifs is entering his first season at Vermont after leading North Carolina to the 2016 NCAA National Championship. He spent seven seasons as defensive coordinator and faceoff coach at UNC, guiding the Tar Heels to the NCAA Tournament each year. Carolina captured the ACC Championship in 2013 and also earned a share of the regular season conference title on two occasions during his tenure in Chapel Hill.
 
He spent his playing days at Maryland (2004-07), during which the Terrapins reached the NCAA Semifinals twice (2005-06). As a senior, he served as team captain and finished with a career-high 19 points. The native of Durham, North Carolina was a three-time ACC Academic Honor Roll selection and was selected by the Boston Cannons in the 2007 MLL Draft.
