QUEBEC CITY –
Paula Moltzan,
Ben Ogden and
Max Roeisland represented the green and gold around the world this past weekend. Moltzan skied at the 2019 Toyota U.S. Alpine Championships in New Hampshire, while Ogden competed at the 2019 FIS World Cup Finals in Quebec City and Roeisland skied at the Norwegian National Championships in Hemsedal, Norway.
Moltzan finished second in the slalom at the 2019 Toyota U.S. Alpine Championships. She had the second fastest first run time and the third fastest second run time. Her combined time of 1:57.35 was 2.10 seconds behind Nina O'Brien.
Roeisland also earned a podium spot at the Norwegian National Championships. Roeisland finished third overall in the slalom with a combined time of 1:21.23. He finished just .38 seconds outside of first place. Former Catamount and 2018 Olympian
Jonathan Nordbotten finished 11th overall.
Ogden made his FIS World Cup debut this weekend in Quebec City. Former Catamounts Caitlin Patterson,
Scott Patterson and
Alayna Sonnesyn also competed on the Plains of Abraham. Ogden's best finish over the three-day competition was Sunday in the men's 15k Freestyle. He placed 66th overall in a time of 38:09.7.
Scott Patterson had the best finish of the any of the Catamounts over the weekend placing 45th in the same event.
