BURLINGTON, Vt. – Sophomore
DJ Snide won the decathlon with 6116 points Sunday in the Catamount Combined Events Challenge hosted by UVM at the Frank H. Livak Track and Field Facility.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Snide set personal records in 100m, 400m, discus, high jump and javelin to set a new personal best with his 6116 points.
- Junior Alex Parasky finished second overall with 5708 points competing in his first-ever collegiate decathlon. Parasky won the 100m, long jump, high jump, javelin and 1500m.
- Elias Lindsey finished third overall for the Catamounts with 5232 points. He won the pole vault matching his career-best at 3.30m. It was also his first collegiate decathlon.
- Freshman Mary Diestel finished fifth overall in the heptathlon for Vermont. She finished third in the long jump, 800m and the high jump. She set personal bests in the long jump (4.86m) and high jump (1.55m).
WHAT'S NEXT
Next week is a busy one for the Catamounts. Select student-athletes will travel to California for the Mt. SAC Relays at El Camino College and the Beach Invitational hosted by Long Beach State.
Other members of the team will travel to Boston Saturday for the Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational hosted by Northeastern University.
