AZUSA, Calif. – Nine members of the Vermont outdoor track and field team competed late Friday night on the west coast at the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific at Cougar Athletic Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Benner placed second overall in the Open 1500m with a time of 3:50.31. He won his heat by .23 seconds. For Benner it was the best 1500m time of his career by 2.88 seconds.
- Trumble finished 73rd overall in the 1500m Invitational with a career best time of 4:28.01. It was her best mark by 4.54 seconds.
- In the men's 800m Taylor Kracher placed 52nd overall in a time of 1:51.93. It was Kracher's best 800m outdoor time since setting the school record at the 2017 Mt. SAC Relays. Bill Comstock posted a career best time of 1:53.18 to finish 71st.
- Ava Meyer posted her second fastest time of the outdoor season in the women's 800m, 2:15.88 placing 89th. It was .17 seconds faster than she ran the 800m Thursday at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate.
- Four other Catamounts competed Friday in the 1500m – Caroline O'Shea (57th, 4:40.63), Tyler Marshall (47th, 3:54.44), Neville Caulfield (56th, 3:55.03) and Luke Petela (90th, 3:57.65).
