BURLINGTON, Vt. - After raising more than $84,000 to support UVM student-athletes last year in its annual campaign, the two-week Catamount Challenge kicks off today and runs through Thursday, April 18 at 4 p.m.

Donations can be made at go.uvm.edu/gocats (all lower case) and all gifts will to go to an Excellence Fund for a specific UVM sport program. Advocates who share the Catamount Challenge and get others to give will receive gift cards to the UVM Bookstore at a value of $10 for 10 donors and $25 for 25 donors.
 
Donations are currently being matched by donors for three UVM programs: alpine and Nordic skiing, men's soccer and women's hockey. To setup a matching gift for your team visit go.uvm.edu/j7br9 or contact Chris Bernier at chris.bernier@uvm.edu or 802-656-3910.
 
The following prizes will be awarded to Catamount teams at the end of the Challenge:

• $2,500 for most overall donors
• $1,500 for most dollars raised
• $1,000 for most alumni donors

The prize winners will be honored at the 2019 Rally Awards on Tuesday, May 7 at the Flynn Center for Performing Arts in downtown Burlington.

Please note that gifts made during the Catamount Challenge are not eligible for Victory Club benefits.
