The second-seed Vermont Catamounts (7-6, 4-2 AE) take on the third-seed UAlbany Great Danes (5-8, 4-2 AE) in the America East semifinal on Thursday at LaValle Stadium in Stony Brook, New York.

2019 AMERICA EAST CHAMPIONSHIP
The top-seed Stony Brook Seawolves (9-5, 5-1 AE) host the UMBC Retrievers in the second semifinal at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.

The semifinal winners will square off at 12:00 p.m. Saturday with a trip to the NCAA Tournament at stake. The 2019 America East Championship Game will air on ESPNU with Mike Corey and Don Zimmerman on the call. Â

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
UAlbany enters Thursday's game with a 5-8 overall record and 4-2 America East mark. The Great Danes lost to Vermont and Stony Brook by a combined three goals in the regular season. UAlbany ranks 11th in the NCAA in clear percentage (.869), 45th in scoring defense (11.54), 48th in scoring offense (10.69), and 63rd in man-down defense (.564).

Jakob Patterson leads the team in goals (24), assists (30), and points (54). Tehoka Nanticoke is tied for the team lead in goals (24) and tied for second on the team with 11 assists. Six other Great Danes have 10 or more points.

Vermont took a comeback 10-9 win over UAlbany in the regular season meeting on Virtue Field at UVM in early April. The Catamounts finished the game with a 48-32 edge in shots and a 39-22 edge in ground balls. The Catamounts scored five of the game's final six goals, including the game-winner from
Dawes Milchling, to erase a three goal deficit.
