BURLINGTON, Vt. – The University of Vermont women's soccer program has announced its 16-game regular season schedule for the upcoming 2019 season. Vermont will play teams from five different conferences spanning across eight states this year.

- The Catamounts will open the season against Sacred Heart on Friday, August 23 at Virtue Field.
- UVM will host the TD Bank Classic on Friday, August 30 and Sunday, Sept. 1. The tournament field includes Merrimack, New Hampshire, and North Dakota State.
- America East play will start with a trip to Binghamton on Sunday, Sept 22.
- The Green and Gold will close out the regular season against defending conference champion UAlbany on Thursday, Oct. 31.
- The top six teams in the final regular season standings will advance to the America East Tournament. The playoffs are set to begin on Sunday, Nov. 3 with the quarterfinals. The semifinals are slated for Thursday, Nov. 7 and the championship game will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10. The winner of the America East Tournament earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Kristi Huizenga enters her ninth season at the helm and ranks second in school history with 48 career victories.
The 2018 Cats made their fourth straight trip to the America East Tournament - a first for the program. The four victories during the league slate matched the most under Huizenga. UVM had one of the top defenses in America East and after surrendering the third-fewest goals (22) and logged the third-best goals-against average (1.22). At season's end, the Catamounts were represented by seniors
Brooke Jenkins and
Casey Garfinkel on the All-Conference Second Team and All-Academic Team while freshman
Alyssa Oviedo landed on the All-Rookie Team.
Vermont will return seven out of its top eight scorers from a year ago including Jenkins and Oviedo. Jenkins led the team with 11 points on four goals and three assists. Oviedo tallied a pair of goals and assists for six points. Classmates
