AS A SENIOR (2011): Played in all 15 games in his final season at Vermont … Finished tied for third on the team in goals (15) and fifth overall in points (16) … Scored a goal and added an assist in a 9-6 win at Air Force … Scored what proved to be the game-winner against Bryant … Recorded back-to-back hat tricks at Binghamton and in a 15-5 win vs. Holy Cross … Scored twice at Dartmouth … Added a pair of goals in the season finale against #13 Stony Brook.

AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2010): Sminkey played in 10 games and had three goals and one assist for four points … Scored a goal and had an assist in an 18-13 loss at home to Dartmouth … Notched a goal in a 16-10 loss at No. 8 Stony Brook on May 1 … Had a goal against top-seeded and sixth-ranked Stony Brook in the America East playoffs on May 4 in a 10-6 loss.

AS A JUNIOR (2009): Sat out the season with an injury.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2008): Sminkey finished tied for seventh on the team in scoring with four goals and four assists in 13 games … Had 18 shots and two ground balls … Scored a goal and an assist in a 19-7 loss at No. 2 Duke on Feb. 23 … Posted two assists in a 7-4 loss at Dartmouth on March 7 … Scored a goal in a 15-5 loss at Colgate on March 11 … Notched a goal in a 12-10 victory at Marist on April 8 … Had a goal in a 13-3 loss at Albany on April 20.
