Alan C. McLam 1957 - Baseball, Basketball, Football

Alan McLam, a 1981 UVM Hall of Fame inductee, was a standout in three sports but his playing career at Vermont was cut short by leaving school when a member of his family became ill.

McLam played three years of football and was an All-State selectee and honorable mention All-Yankee Conference performer. His best sport, perhaps, was baseball. He was the team's leading hitter and was named to the All-State and All-Yankee Conference teams in 1955. The versatile athlete also was a member of the varsity basketball team for two years and was the Interfraternity half-mile champion in 1955.

At UVM, he was a member of Cold Key, was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and graduated from the Ft. Benning jump school. He also graduated form the Ft. Rucker flight school. A fraternity brother at Kappa Sigma, he won the Kake Walk Winter Carnival competition for two years.
