Lagala was a three-time NCAA qualifier in the 800-meter for the Catamounts. She was a five-time America East champion (three-time 800m indoor champion, two-time outdoor 800m champion) and posted the third-fastest time ever at the 2006 America East Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Lagala inked her spot on UVM's all-time list with seven school records and still holds three of the those marks. She was a two-time America East Scholar-Athlete of the Year recipient and was named America East Woman of the Year as a senior. The Montpelier, Vermont native also landed on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Second Team following her senior season.
