Dawn Cressman '03 | Video Introduction
A two-time team captain, Cressman played an integral role on two America East Regular Season Championship teams during her career as a member of the Vermont women's basketball team. Cressman is one of 15 players in program history to record 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds. She helped UVM win the America East Tournament Championship in 2000 as the Catamounts made their first NCAA Tournament appearance in seven years.  She also helped Vermont earn its first-ever WNIT Postseason Tournament appearance in 2002, leading UVM to the quarterfinal round. Cressman finished her basketball career ranked among the all-time leaders in nine different categories. She scored 1,150 points, grabbed 667 rebounds, and played in a then-record 122 straight games. Following her four-year career at UVM, Cressman went on to play three years in the Canadian National Team program. In 2005, she was named to the Canadian Senior National Team that competed in the FIBA World Championship Qualification Tournament. Cressman also played professionally for one year in England, where she averaged 20 points per game and ranked among the league leaders in 3-point field goal percentage.
