CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – The America East Conference recognized University of Vermont sophomore
Brian Wright and freshman
Arthur Bacquet on Friday. Wright was named to the America East Men's Soccer All-Conference First Team, while Bacquet garnered all-rookie honors.

Wright ranks second in America East in points and points per game (1.00). He is tied for the league-lead in goals and ranks second in goals per game (0.41).
Through two seasons at UVM, Wright is averaging nearly a point per game with 32 points and 13 goals in 33 career matches.
Bacquet has made an immediate impact on the squad in his first season at Vermont. As a defender he has helped anchor UVM's back line and started 15 straight games.
The Catamounts advanced to the America East Tournament for the 10th time in head coach

Vermont (7-8-2, 2-4-1 AE) and Albany (4-8-6, 2-4-1 AE) meet in the first round of the playoffs for the third time in four years and second straight season. Last year, the Great Danes, the No. 5 seed, handed No. 4 UVM a 5-1 loss at Virtue Field. In 2011, Albany posted a come-from-behind 3-2 win over the Catamounts at Centennial Field. The two teams also met in the first round of the 2005 playoffs with Albany advancing on penalty kicks.
The two squads met at Bob Ford Field at Albany on October 4 during the regular season. UVM's
Jack Shea netted an equalizing goal in the 79th minute, but Brandon Wilson netted the game-winning goal in the 84th minute to lead the Great Danes to a 2-1 victory.
