BOSTON – Senior
Grace Weisbecker tied her own Vermont indoor pole vault record (3.90m) for the second time in four weeks en route to a first place finish on the second day of the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Saturday at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.

ECAC Pentathlon Results
Weisbecker, who originally cleared the record-setting mark on Feb. 26, 2016 at the New England Indoor Championships at BU, replicated that performance last month at BU's David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
Despite missing Sunday's IC4A 500 meter finals,
Taylor Kracher broke the UVM indoor record with a preliminary time of 1:04.06. He finished 11th overall. Kracher surpassed the previous record of 1:04.99, held by
Nick DeLuna and set on Feb. 7, 2015 at the BU Scarlet and White Invitational.
Lauren Trumble ran Saturday's ECAC mile preliminaries in a personal-best 4:52.76, finishing 13th overall and posting the sixth-best time in school history.
Anna Kaplan took 12th in the 5000 meter (16:57.45), crossing the finish line with an additional PR and top-4 time in the UVM indoor record book.
In the field,
Mallory Honan was eighth in the long jump (5.62m).
Patrick Coppinger clocked in at 2:26.74 (PR) in the 1000 meter preliminaries, taking eighth and sealing a spot in Sunday's finals. In doing so, the senior edged his own time (2:27.18) that previously was third in the UVM indoor record book. The DMR quad of
John Benner,
Dan DeBlieck,
Dan DeLuna and
Chris Gish also advanced to Sunday, winning their heat in 9:56.40. That time was second overall among the entire field, topped only by William and Mary.
Allen Vance posted Vermont's sixth-best 800 meter time, finishing 21st (1:53.24, PR). Senior
Ian Weider was fifth in the long jump, posting a 7.19m mark.
In addition,
Pearl Abiti competed in the pentathlon on Friday (March 3), finishing ninth overall with a personal best point total of 3312. She was seventh in the 800 meter (2:30.29).
The ECAC/IC4A Championships and the UVM indoor season conclude on Sunday (March 5).
