BEFORE VERMONT: Came to UVM from Memphis, Tenn. and is the women's lacrosse program's first-ever recruit from Tennessee ... She is the first student-athlete at Westminster Academy to receive a scholarship to play a sport at a Division I school ... Although Allen attended Westminster Academy, she played her scholastic lacrosse at Hutchinson School for Girls, as Westminster did not sponsor a girls' lacrosse program ... Was a four-year letterwinner at Hutchinson and led the team to a Tennessee High School State Championship in 2007 ... Captained the team as a senior ... Also played basketball and soccer for Westminster and has earned several accolades in those sports during her career.

PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Cannon and Jill Allen ... Has three siblings ... Older sister, Katharine, plays lacrosse at Fort Lewis College ... Young brother, Cannon, plays soccer at Wheaton College ... Father was a member of the crew team at Princeton and mother played field hockey at DePauw University ... Is a classical civilization major.
