BURLINGTON, Vt. - The Vermont men's and women's basketball teams will continue the ongoing effort to support the University of Vermont Cancer Center and breast cancer research by wearing special pink jerseys this upcoming week as part of the Rally Against Cancer/Play 4 Kay initiative.
The men's basketball team will host UMBC Saturday (Feb. 14) at 2 p.m., while the women's team faces off with Maine on February 18 at 7 p.m. in Patrick Gymnasium.

click here) with bids starting at $100 per men's jersey and $75 per women's jersey. Both Rally Against Cancer games are presented to you by Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets. All proceeds from the online auctions will support the efforts being made at the University of Vermont Cancer Center. The men's auction will end February 17 at 12 p.m. and the women's will end on Friday, February 20 at 12 p.m.
All fans are encouraged to wear pink to the games as a way to show support for breast cancer research. Pink carnations will be sold in the lobby for $2 and pink paper basketballs will also be on sale for $1 at the promotions table and will be hung in the main lobby of Patrick Gymnasium. The University of Vermont Cancer Center will also be tabling in the lobby along with Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets. Please stop by their tables to enter raffles and to learn more about the efforts being made at the University of Vermont Cancer Center.
A ceremonial jersey presentation will occur prior to both games with representatives from the University of Vermont Cancer Center, Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets and the Vermont Athletic Department.
