| WAKEFIELD, Mass. – A program-record 15 Vermont men's hockey players were named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team on Wednesday as the league announced the 2014-15 squad. It marks the fifth straight year that UVM has placed at least 12 players on the All-Academic Team.
To earn a spot on the squad, a student-athlete must achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or better in each of the two academic periods during which he was actively competing. Five Catamounts received the honor for at least the second time during their NCAA careers.

Over the last two years, Vermont has registered consecutive 20-win seasons for the first time since 1996 and 1997. The Catamounts made their first appearance in the the Hockey East Semifinal at TD Garden since 2010 and finished the season with 22 victories in 2014-15.
Hockey East announced a league-record 133 student-athletes who were named to this year's All-Academic Team.
