BURLINGTON, Vt. – The University of Vermont women's lacrosse program will add 11 newcomers, including Vermont natives Mady Corkum (Essex) and Megan Dalton (Woodstock), in 2017. Head coach 
Jen Johnson made the announcement today.

Mady Corkum – 5-6 | M | Essex Junction, Vermont | Essex HSThree-sport athlete – field hockey, Nordic skiing, lacrosse … Totaled 66 goals, including 44 in 2015, and 12 assists through three seasons at Essex HS … Was the lacrosse team's offensive MVP in 2015 … Helped Essex win two state championships in field hockey as the team's goalie … Also serves as a captain of the Nordic ski team … Garnered several honors in field hockey, including the Metro Division Player of the Year in 2015 … Is a three-time Metro Division All-Conference honoree in lacrosse. 
Alice Cumpston – 5-7 | A | Jarrettville, Maryland | John Carroll HSThree-sport athlete – soccer, lacrosse, track … Made the varsity team at John Carroll as a freshman and was a starter … Won the White Blazer Award during her career. 
Megan Dalton – 5-8 | G | Woodstock, Vermont | Woodstock Union HSThree sport athlete – field hockey, basketball, lacrosse … Led Woodstock to the Vermont DII State Championship in 2015 and serves as team captain for the 2016 season … Was the field hockey team captain in 2015 … Named to the Marble Valley All-League Team in 2014 and 2015 … Is a two-time Vermont DII Girls Lacrosse All-State First Team selection … Also named to the 2015 US Lacrosse Girl's High School All-Academic Team … Was the field hockey team's Defensive Player of the Year in 2014. 
Morgan Furbay – 5-9 | D | Massillon, Ohio | Jackson HSTwo sport athlete – soccer, lacrosse … Two-time team captain and lacrosse team MVP in 2015 … Named to all-county, all-state and All-American teams in 2015 … Also selected to All-Ohio Academic and Academic All-America Teams in 2015 … Is the all-time leader at Jackson HS in draw controls. 
Lexi Gordon – 5-4 | M | Queensbury, New York | Queensbury HSThree sport athlete – cross country, Nordic skiing, lacrosse … Is a three-time scholar-athlete … Earned honorable mention honors in 2015 … Led Queensbury HS to three straight sectional finals … Enters her senior season of high school with 58 goals and 46 assists. 
Olivia Greene – 5-6 | D | Hollis, New Hampshire | Cushing AcademyPlayed soccer, field hockey, basketball and lacrosse at Cushing Academy … Named lacrosse team captain and MVP in 2015 … Also earned MVP honors at the 2014 Brine All-American Game … Named to 2014 Brine All-Tournament Team … Played in the 2014 Under Armour Uncommitted Games and the 2015 Under Armour Underclass Games for the New England Team … Also earned All-NESPAC honors in lacrosse. 
Ali Korin – 5-6 | M | Mahopac, New York | Mahopac HSFour-sport athlete – cross country, track, skiing, lacrosse … Netted 19 goals and added 7 assists and 48 ground balls as a midfielder in 2015 … Led Mahopac to the 2015 sectional finals  … Garnered all-league and Academic All-American honors in lacrosse in 2015 … Is also a two-time all-county and all-league runner in cross country. 
Molly Little – 5-8 | M | Tiverton, Rhode Island | Tabor Academy (Mass.)A three-sport athlete – cross country, basketball, lacrosse … Named the lacrosse team MVP in 2015 and serving as captain for 2016 season … Was an NEPSAC All-Star in lacrosse (2015) and cross country (2014). 
Sarah Raimondi – 5-4 | D | South Salem, New York | John Jay HSThree-sport athlete – soccer, bowling, lacrosse … Is a three-year captain of the bowling team and earned all-league in the sport … Was the first girl in John Jay HS history to advance to the sectional tournament and earn all-league honors in bowling … NYSPHAA Scholar-Athlete in lacrosse and soccer. 
Lexi Tan – 5-11 |M | Towson, Maryland | Loch Raven HSPlayed soccer, volleyball, basketball and lacrosse at Loch Raven … Was the team MVP in basketball in 2014-15 and earned Baltimore County Division I First Team … Was named among the Nike Elite 120 Top 5 Freshman in 2013 …  Played in the Under Armour All-American Lacrosse Uncommitted Team in 2013 and 2014 … Member of the 2014 Brine National Lacrosse Classic Team (Virginia) … 2015 Baltimore Metro School Girls Division I Team … 2015 Baltimore County Girl's Lacrosse Division I First Team. 
Sabrina Tattersfield – 5-2 | M | Wayzata, Minnesota | Berkshire School (Mass.)Competed in field hockey, hockey, Nordic skiing, tennis and lacrosse at Berkshire School … Has served as the lacrosse team captain … Played for Team Canada and won a gold medal at the 2015 U19 World Cup … Earned 2014 NEPSWLA All-Star honors … Also named to the all-conference and all-state teams in 2013. 
Vermont, which was picked to finish fourth in the 2016 America East Preseason Coaches Poll, returns five of its top six scorers from last season's team that finished third in the league standings. The Catamounts advanced to the America East Semifinals for the third straight year. 
The Catamounts open the 2016 season with a pair of home games on February 13 vs. Bryant (12 p.m.) and February 20 vs. Colgate (12 p.m.). Both games will be played at Virtue Field and will be streamed for free in HD via 
AmericaEast.tv.
