2015-16 Hockey East Highlight Video Willard played in all 37 games for the Catamounts this season and was second on the team in scoring with 10 goals and nine assists for 19 points. Willard matched a Division I school record with three game-winning goals. She scored back-to-back game-winning goals in a weekend sweep at New Hampshire in February and was named Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts.
Willard was tied for third in Hockey East with four power play goals in league play. The Catamounts were 6-2-2 in league games when she recorded at least a point.
Willard is the fourth Catamount in program history to be named a Hockey East All-Star. Former goaltender and current goaltending coach
Roxanne Douville was named to the first team in 2013 and 2014, she is the only Catamount to ever make the first team. In 2014
Amanda Pelkey and
Gina Repaci were named to the second team.
"Taylor had a breakout season this year and I am grateful to the other coaches in Hockey East who recognized the impact she had on every game," said head coach
Jim Plumer. "Taylor has really developed into an elite defenseman who has the ability to play heavy minutes and impact the game at both ends of the ice. I am thrilled to see Taylor become the fourth Catamount to receive Hockey East All-Conference honors and I cannot wait to see what she accomplishes in the next two years."
