Speckmaier anchored the UVM defense in a pair of wins over The Citadel and Charleston Southern in the Nike Challenge 2 Series.
The Miami, Fla. native started the weekend by posting her third shutout of the season in a 1-0 defeat of The Citadel. She stopped three shots in the winning effort. Sunday against Charleston Southern, Speckmaier made a career-high 11 saves in a 3-1 Catamount win.
With the 14 total saves and just one goal allowed, Speckmaier lowered her goals against average from 1.28 to 1.09 and ranks fourth in the league in that category. Her three shutouts are tied for the best mark in the conference, as well.
