Fans can purchase tickets to the game at a special discounted rate of $2, while all UVM students can attend the game free with valid ID.
The goal of the challenge is to once again break the Hockey East regular season attendance record and support Burlington Meals on Wheels, a non-profit organization that delivers meals to the elderly and people in need throughout the Greater Burlington area. Proceeds generated from the game's 50/50 raffle will be donated to Meals on Wheels.
The first 200 fans in attendance can collect a complimentary UVM license plate frame and the first 100 students will receive a pair of thundersticks as well as a free "The Den" T-shirt. During the game, students are encouraged to Snapchat a photo of themselves in The Den to UVM_Athletics for a chance to win a season pass to Smugglers Notch.
In the inaugural iteration of Pack The Gut on Nov. 8, 2013, UVM fans successfully teamed up to set a new Hockey East regular season attendance record as a crowd of 2,028 turned out to watch the Catamounts face league rival Boston College.
Fans are encouraged to use the hashtag #PackTheGut on social media to help
promote the game and help break the attendance record once again.
