Kevin Sneddon has announced the four members of his leadership group for the upcoming 2017-18 campaign. Senior
Rob Darrar will serve as team captain, while seniors
Travis Blanleil and
Anthony Petruzzelli and sophomore
Derek Lodermeier have been elected as assistant captains.
"I am pleased to announce the selection of our leadership group for the upcoming season," said Sneddon. "This group has done a tremendous job throughout the summer and fall, and I look forward to working with them this season as we strive for Hockey East and NCAA Tournament success."

Despite being limited to 20 games due to injury, Darrar posted a career-high 13 points last year on six goals and seven assists. The New Jersey native collected a multi-goal game against Maine, and registered a career-high four points with two goals and two assists in a win over Bentley. In the classroom, the forward is a three-time member of the Hockey East All-Academic Team.
Blanleil and Petruzzelli return as assistant captains this season. Blanleil skated in 28 games in 2016-17, recording four goals and three assists for seven points. Petruzzelli had three goals and six assists for nine points while recording a plus-10 rating. Both forwards are multi-year honorees on the Hockey East All-Academic Team.
Lodermeier closed his freshman season with 18 points on four goals and 14 assists while skating in all but one game. Among all Hockey East rookies, he ranked eighth in assists, ninth in faceoff percentage, and tied for 14th in scoring. The Minnesota native was also an All-Academic honoree in Hockey East.
