LONG BEACH, Calif. – Select student-athletes on the Vermont Outdoor Track & Field team competed Thursday in California at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate hosted by Long Beach State, the Bryan Clay Invitational in Asuza, California and the Mt. SAC Relays. It is the start of a busy weekend that will see the Catamounts compete in five separate meets.

HOW IT HAPPENED AT PACIFIC COAST
- Elias Lindsey finished eighth overall in the triple jump, with a mark of 13.51m.
- Smita Boesch-Dining finished 27th overall in the 400m with a time of 1:02.01.
- Caroline O'Shea placed ninth in the 800m with a season-best time of 2:16.57.
- Alex May Curtis ran a 15.78 100m hurdles, finishing 31st overall.
- Julia Nugent ran the 400m hurdles for the third time this season, placing 14th in a time of 1:05.76.
HOW IT HAPPENED AT BRYAN CLAY INVITATIONAL
- Neville Caulfield and Tyler Marshall competed for Vermont in the 3000m steeplechase Thursday evening. In a field of 112 Caulfield finished 37th overall in a time of 9:17.03. Marshall placed 73rd overall in a time of 9:40.96.
SAYER COMPETES AT MT. SAC RELAYS

FRIDAY AT THE BRYAN CLAY INVITATIONAL
On Friday 10 student-athletes will compete for Vermont at the Bryan Clay Invitational. For the men UVM will be represented by
Bill Comstock and
Taylor Kracher in the 800m. In the 1500m
John Benner,
Neville Caulfield,
Tyler Marshall and
Luke Petela will compete.
The women will be represented by
Sonia John (400m & 200m),
Ava Meyer (800m) and in the 1500m
Caroline O'Shea and
Lauren Trumble.
SATURDAY BACK AT LONG BEACH STATE
The Catamounts will finish their trip out west with the 25th annual Beach Invitational. Track events will begin at 11:30 a.m. (ET) from Jack Rose Track.
CATAMOUNTS HEAD TO JAY CARISELLA COACHES INVITE
The members of the team not in California will head to Massachusetts Saturday (April 20) for the 2019 Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational hosted by Northeastern. Field events will begin at 9:30 a.m. Track events will begin at 11 a.m.
