SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Dale Tallon announced Monday that the club has agreed to terms with former Catamount defenseman Jake Massie on a two-year, entry-level contract.
 
"As we previously released but could not provide details, we are very proud of Jake for signing an entry level contract with the Florida Panthers," said head coach Kevin Sneddon. "Jake handled this process with complete transparency and I could not be happier for him as well as his family. Jake was amazing student-athlete to coach and we wish him the very best as he embarks on his professional career. Thank you to the Florida Panthers for believing in him!"
 
The Saint-Lazare, Quebec native saw action in 30 games during the 2018-19 campaign at Vermont. He registered nine points and blocked a team-high 41 shots. The 2015 sixth round draft pick of the Carolina Hurricanes played 95 career games for the Catamounts over three seasons.
