2016 SEASON: Competed in every race in 2016 ... Posted six wins and nine podium appearances ... Won the season opening skate race at the Bates Carnival ... Added a win in the freestyle relay race at the Colby Carnival with teammate Jorgen Grav ... Won three straight races during teh season, sweeping the Williams Carnival and adding a win in the classic race at Darmouth ... Was the EISA Champion in the classic race ... Was named to UVM's NCAA squad for the second straight year ... Earned All-America Second Team honors both races, finishing 10th in the freestyle and eigth in the classic.

2015 SEASON: Earned two podium appearances in 2015 … Finished in the top-10 in every ESIA race, including five top-5 finishes … Was third in the classic race at the Saint Michael’s Invitational and the freestyle race at the Dartmouth Carnival … Finished sixth in the freestyle race at the 2015 NCAA Championships to earn All-America honors.

2014 SEASON: Competed in eight races on the EISA Circuit ... Posted five top-10 finishes ... Earned a spot on the podium for the first time in his career with a third place finish in the classic race at the EISA Championships ... Added a fifth place finish in the classic at the Colby Carnival.

2013 SEASON: Competed in six races on the EISA Circuit … Posted his only top-10 finish in the season opening freestyle race at the St. Lawrence Carnival.

BEFORE VERMONT: Attended Mount Mansfield Union in Jericho, Vt., and was a member of the Nordic ski team all four years ... Two-time member of the U18 World Junior Team for the United States ... Finished second at the 2012 Junior Nationals.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Bill and Lisanne Hegman of Huntington, Vt. ... Has a younger brother: Ben and older brother Peter is was a member of the Catamount Nordic ski team, graduated in 2013 ... Is undecided on a major.
