Anderson enters his first season as volunteer assistant coach with the University of Vermont in 2019-20.
A 2007 graduate of UMass, Anderson captained the Minutemen for a pair of seasons and tallied 91 points in 128 career NCAA games. He then played six full seasons in the AHL before playing in a pair of NHL games for the New Jersey Devils in 2012-13.
Following his professional career in the United States, Anderson played two seasons in the KHL (2013-15) before playing three seasons in the Swedish Hockey League (2015-18).
