BURLINGTON, Vt. – Delaney Savacool scored in the 102nd minute to lift the UMass Lowell River Hawks to a 1-0 victory in double overtime against Vermont in America East women's soccer action at Virtue Field on Sunday.
UML improves to 5-8-1 overall and 2-2-1 in league play, while the Catamounts fall to 3-9-2 and 1-3-1 in the conference.

Savacool's goal came off a result of a free kick from the left side of the field just outside the penalty area. The service was sent into six-yard box and Selja Snorradottir was able to flick the ball to Savacool for her first goal of the year.
The Catamounts finished the match with a 12-7 edge in shots and an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks. Jill Carlson was credited with seven saves in the UMass Lowell net, while
Ally Ramos made three stops for Vermont.
UVM returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 16) when it travels to Long Island to take on Stony Brook. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed online for free via
