BURLINGTON, Vt. – Freshman
Rylee Osgood scored twice for the Vermont Catamounts, but the Binghamton Bearcats overcame a pair of one-goal deficits to force extra time and pulled out a 3-2 victory in double-overtime at Virtue Field in America East women's soccer action on Thursday.
Binghamton keeps its hopes alive for a playoff spot and moves to 6-9-2 overall and 2-3-2 in league play. Vermont falls to 3-11-2 on the year and 1-5-1 in the conference.

Binghamton answered in the 18th minute. Katie O'Neill's shot deflected off the leg of a UVM defender and into the net for her fourth goal of the year.
The two teams headed into halftime with the score knotted at 1-1.
Osgood gave Vermont its second lead of the day in the 59th minute. She finished off a short feed from classmate
Sarah Martin and slotted a low shot past BU goalkeeper Gaby Gold.
Binghamton leveled the score again in the 74th minute. O'Neill sent a through ball to Jacque Rice on the left flank and Rice was able to beat UVM goalkeeper
Caitie Green with a low shot to the middle of the net.
After one scoreless extra time period, the Bearcats netted the game-winning goal in the 107th minute. Rebecca Raber served up a corner kick and O'Neill was on the other end to finish it off with a volley finish just under the crossbar.
Green, a midfielder who was forced into goalkeeping duties finished the match with eight saves in her first career game in net for Vermont. Gold was credited with five saves for Binghamton.
Vermont closes out the regular season on Sunday (Oct. 26) when it hosts Hartford at Virtue Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and prior to starting lineups the team will honor its senior class. The game will be streamed online for free in HD via
