Day 2 Results
LEWISBURG, Pa. – Vermont swimming and diving broke another six program records as the Catamounts wrapped up day two of the Bucknell Invitational in fourth place with 456 team points.

UVM opened the night session by breaking a pair of school records in the first event.
Courtney Gray,
Shannon Cowley,
Andie Blaser and
Christa Weaver swam to a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay while breaking the school's varsity record with a time of 1:43.44. In the same event, the relay squad of
Jess Gorham,
Madeline Blumenfeld,
Alexy Novelli and
Stefi Geiger set a new UVM freshmen record in 1:50.26, eclipsing the old mark of 1:51.25, which was set in 2011.

Vermont's 'B' relay squad of
Brianna Sullivan,
Kelly Lennon, Blumenfeld and Geiger closed out the night with a UVM freshmen record in the 800 free relay, clocking in at 7:47.30.

In the preliminary heats, both
Andie Blaser and
Shannon Cowley set new Vermont program records. Blaser raced to a time of 55.68 in the 100 fly to set a new UVM varsity record, and Cowley followed up with a new freshmen and varsity record in the 100 breast with a time of 1:03.91. Blaser and Cowley's marks were both USA Swimming short course national qualifying times.Â

Blaser earned UVM's top finish in the final heats of the 100 fly, placing second in a time of 55.73, while Gray clocked in at 57.59 to take seventh place. Cowley raced to a fourth-place showing in the 100 breast, touching the wall in 1:04.24.
