LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Vermont women's swimming and diving team claimed sixth place at the nine-team Bucknell Invitational after wrapping up the final day of competition Sunday night. Â

Bucknell won the invitational, collecting 1631 points during the three-day event. Fordham (1097.5 pts.) and Georgetown (861) rounded out the top three, while Towson (738), La Salle (729.5) and Vermont (690) claimed the next three spots. Delaware (683), Binghamton (486) and Susquehanna (38) occupied the final three spots.

The Catamounts broke a total of 11 program records during the three days, which included setting six new marks on Saturday.

On Sunday night, Cowley set new UVM varsity and freshmen records in the 200 breast, clocking in at 2:19.90 for a ninth-place finish. The rookie broke the program records in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events in back-to-back nights at the invitational.

Ilsa Feierabend and
Elena Melloni paced the Catamounts in the 200 back. Feierabend registered a time of 2:02.72 for a seventh-place showing, and Melloni claimed the 13
th spot in 2:04.48.

Katie Adams (52.42) and
Andie Blaser (51.84) registered Vermont's top two times in the 100 free, posting eighth and ninth-place showings, respectively.

In the final event of the night, the Catamounts 'A' relay squad made up of Blaser,
Courtney Gray,
Sarah Mantz and
Katie Adams finished sixth with a time of 3:29.97.
