BURLINGTON, Vt. - The Vermont women's basketball team hosts Cornell in the final home game of the 2014 calendar year on Tuesday (Dec. 30). Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game can be heard on WVMT-620 AM (online: SportsJuice.com) with Kevin Fitzgerald calling the action. The game will also be streamed onilne for free in HD via CatamounTV.com. Tickets can be purchased online at UVMathletics.com or in person one hour prior to tipoff in the Patrick Gymnasium Lobby.
UVM enters the game with a 3-8 record and has won three of its last four games. Cornell owns a record of 6-5 and had a three-game win streak snapped with a 76-59 loss at No. 22 Syracuse on December 28.
LAST TIME OUT - UW-Green Bay 60, Vermont 40
Vermont battled back from a 19-point deficit at the half to slice Wisconsin-Green Bay's lead to five in the second stanza, but the Phoenix surged ahead in the final minutes to post a 60-40 win. Kylie Butler reached double figures for the fourth straight game with a team-high 14 points and added eight rebounds to lead UVM. Niki Taylor collected a game-high 10 rebounds and Sydney Smith chipped in seven points, eight rebounds and four blocks for the Catamounts.
