Michigan won the event with 278.5 points, and was followed by West Virgnia (83.5 pts.), Vermont (55), George Mason (38), Saint Leo (32) and Northern Michigan (31).
Junior
Andie Blaser earned Vermont's top individual finish at the event, placing second in the 100 meter fly with a time of 1:05.37. In the 100 meter breaststroke, rookie
Shannon Cowley registered a fourth-place showing in 1:13.50. Junior
Christa Weaver posted the Catamounts' other top-5 finish of the night, claiming fourth place in the 50 free with a time of 26.98.
Vermont's relay squad consisting of
Courtney Gray, Cowley, Blaser and Weaver clocked in at 1:59.20 in the 200 meter medley relay to take third place. In the final event,
Sarah Mantz, Gray,
Katie Adams and Weaver earned a fourth place showing in the 200 free relay (1:50.77).
The Catamounts will compete in their first dual meet of 2015 on January 17 at Northeastern at 1 p.m.
