UMass Lowell improves to 5-10-0 and 2-3-0 in America East. Vermont falls to 6-6-2 overall and 3-2-1 in league play.

The River Hawks got on the board in the 34th minute. Nat Reynisdottir collected the ball just inside the top of the penalty area. UVM goalkeeper Ally Ramos came out to challenge Reynisdottir, but she was able to maneuver past Ramos and scored on an open net.

Reynidottir netted her second goal of the game with just five minutes remaining in the half. She trapped a cross from Selja Snorradottier at the penalty spot and fired in a low shot to the right corner to push UMass Lowell's lead to 2-0

UMass Lowell made the score 3-0 less than a minute later. Ramos came off her line to challenge a River Hawk player and made an initial sliding stop, but the rebound fell to Thalia Petsis who was able to loft a shot over Ramos into an open net.

In the 61st minute, Sara Martin took a pass from Nikki McFarland, beat a defender and launched a shot from a sharp angle outside the penalty area. The ball deflected off a UML defender and slipped into the net at the far corner. The goal was ruled an own goal by the River Hawks to ruin UML's shutout bid.
