CatamounTV Highlights

After a scoreless first half, UVM junior Brian Wright gave the Catamounts a 1-0 lead in the 49th minute. Wright combined with running mate Stefan Lamanna for his ninth goal of the season. Lamanna sent a through pass onto Wright who was able to beat a UMBC defender and slotted a shot past Heavner to push Vermont in front.

UMBC countered in the 65th minute. Michael Scott's free kick from just outside the top of the penalty area snuck through the UVM wall, deflected off a Catamount defender and past Vermont goalkeeper Greg Walton. Scott's fourth goal of the year pulled the Retrievers even at 1-1.

Just 2:38 into the overtime period, Yeboah teamed up Wright for the game-winner. Yeboah collected a lead pass from Wright, got past a UMBC defender and hit a hard, low shot past Heavner. It was Yeboah's fifth goal of the season and third game-winning tally of the year.

Walton finished the game with six stops in the Vermont net, while Heavner was credited with five saves for UMBC. The Retrievers finished the match out shooting Vermont 14-12 overall, while UVM held a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.

Vermont improves to 10-6-3 overall, while UMBC ends its season with a mark of 11-6-3.
