Postgame Quotes from Head Coach Jesse CormierOpening Statement ...
"Disappointed, obviously disappointed — I thought we were in many ways the more aggressive, better team, especially second half," Cormier said. "Credit to them, Zeiko (Lewis) made a brilliant play and they made the play to win the game."
"I thought we really played a great second half, we just needed a little more in the end, we left a couple plays out there," Cormier said. "What it does is it inspires us to come back here and be here next year."
Season review …
"We've had a really good year. We don't have many regrets," Cormier said. "The only regret we have is I think we wanted to come out tonight and play a little better, make a couple of more plays in the final third. But, overall, we have a really good team. The guys are connected. We've had some great opportunities to be together, have some success together, and it's been pretty magical. I'm just disappointed we weren't able to move on tonight."
Seniors …
"We're losing the five guys, the seniors, but the world is gaining them," Cormier said. "Those are five great people that are really going to make an impact on the planet. That's really, ultimately, what it's about and I'm very proud of these guys. We're going to miss them."
"The foundation these guys have really built is going to play into home games next year and a lot of really good energy around the program," Cormier said. "There's great energy in the program right now but it's just kind of spilling out and all catching on and it's fun to be a part of that."
