ABOUT THE CATAMOUNTS
Vermont owns a 1-3 record after a three-game road trip to Columbia, Bryant and Brown. Head coach Lori Gear McBride earned her 100th career win as Vermont downed Central Connecticut in its home-opener on Nov. 13.

Freshmen are making an impact for the Catamounts on the floor as Hayley Robertson, Candice Wright and Courtney Wright are all averaging at least 19 minutes of action. Candice and Andreana Thomas lead Vermont's offense, each averaging 10.3 points per game.

UVM as a team is averaging 60.3 ppg while shooting 34-percent from the field and pulling down 40.8 rebounds. Vermont has made 80 trips to the charity stripe in four games and has connected on 58 of those attempts (72.5-percent).

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
St. Francis arrives in Burlington after starting the 2015-16 season 0-3. The Terriers captured the Northeast Conference title last season for the first time in program history after defeating Robert Morris 77-62 in the conference championship.

The Terriers lost 72-percent (46 ppg) of their offense from the 2014-15 campaign and return one starter, senior Leah Fechko. Fechko paces the offense this season averaging 13.7 ppg, 7.3 rpg and 2.0 steals as she is the only Terrier registering double-figures per contest.

St. Francis is shooting 36-percent from the field (54-for-150) and giving up 68 ppg. The Terriers' most recent matchup was last Sunday where they suffered a narrow four-point, 44-40 loss to St. Peter's University in New Jersey.

SERIES HISTORY
Friday marks the fourth meeting between the Catamounts and Terriers as UVM has won the previous three contests. Vermont and St. Francis met last season in Brooklyn as the Catamounts slipped past the Terriers 63-61.

LAST TIME OUT
The Brown Bears remain undefeated as they posted their fifth win of the season over the University of Vermont women's basketball team 71-54 on Monday evening at the Wendell R. Erickson Athletic Complex.

Andreana Thomas picked up her first double-double as a Catamount as she led Vermont's offense by posting 15 points and 11 rebounds. Candice Wright chipped in a game-high 17 points. As a team, UVM pulled down 43 rebounds and finished with an edge of four on the boards.

Momentum shifted back in Vermont's favor earlier in the second half as Candice Wright knocked down two sets of free throws and a pair of layups to put the Catamounts to bring the Catamounts back to within 13 of Brown. Thomas used her speed to take over and single-handedly went on a 10-2 run over the Bears from under the basket and the foul line, going 6-for-7 from the charity stripe.

Candice Wright and Courtney Wright tallied Vermont's 10 fourth-quarter points but it was not enough as Brown secured its 17-point victory over the Catamounts.

SCOUTING GEORGETOWN
The Hoyas own a 2-1 record before facing Quinnipiac in the first matchup of the TD Bank Classic, with their lone defeat at Memphis last Sunday. The Tigers edged Georgetown 57-53 in Memphis.

Sophomore Dorothy Adomako scored in double-figures against Virginia Tech (19) and Maryland Eastern Shore (23). Adomako is averaging 15 ppg in 29.3 minutes on the floor. Rookie Dionna White leads the Hoyas under the bucket as she has collected a team-high 24 rebounds (8 rpg) and nine assists.

Georgetown is shooting 39-percent from the field and holding opponents to 32.8-percent shooting. The Hoyas have edged opponents 128-121 on the boards.

SCOUTING QUINNIPIAC
The Quinnipiac Bobcats have gone to overtime in each of their first three games this season and come to Burlington with a 2-1 record. Quinnipiac fell to Army in its season opener 67-57 and then won back-to-back contests against Hartford and Holy Cross.

The Bobcats are posting 44.7 rpg and five blocks per contest. Through three games Quinnipiac has averaged 63.7 ppg while registering a .342 field goal percentage.

Three Bobcats are averaging double-figures scoring as Adily Martucci and Sarah Shewan are scoring 11.3 ppg apiece and Brittany Martin is adding 11 ppg. Aryn McClure and Paula Strautmane are both averaging seven rebounds for Quinnipiac.

WHO'S NEXT
Vermont hits the road again as it heads to Worcester, Massachusetts next Wednesday (Dec. 2) to face the Holy Cross Crusaders. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. The game will be streamed via Campus Insiders  and radio coverage begins 20 minutes prior to tip-off at 6:40 p.m. on WVMT 620-AM and SportsJuice.com.
