WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Vermont women's basketball team begins the second round of conference play at Hartford on Sunday. Tipoff at Chase Arena is set for 2 p.m. The game can be heard on WVMT-620 AM (online: SportsJuice.com) with Kevin Fitzgerald calling the action. The game can also be seen online for free via AmericaEast.tv.
The Catamounts stand at 3-17 overall and are 0-8 in America East. UVM is coming off an 89-48 loss to league-leading Albany on Thursday. Hartford is coming off a 60-58 victory at Stony Brook on Thursday and stands at 11-11 overall and 5-3 in the league.

LAST TIME OUT - Albany 89, Vermont 48
Shereesha Richards scored a game-high 31 points and added eight rebounds and six steals to lead Albany to an 89-48 win over Vermont at Patrick Gymnasium ... The Great Danes led from the tip, building a 16-5 lead at the 13:42 mark of the first half ... The Catamounts trimmed the lead to five on back-to-back 3-pointers from Kayla Burchill (team-high 11 points), but Albany used a 12-2 spurt to push its lead to 13 and took a 39-22 advantage into the break. The Great Danes used a 7-0 spurt midway through the second half spurt to extend their lead to 24 and cruised to the win.

Niki Taylor grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds and chipped in six points ... Hartford led 24-19 at the half and used a 15-5 run to open the second half and pull out to a double-digit lead ... Senior Niki Taylor became the 20th Catamount to reach the 1,000-point milestone with two points at UMass Lowell ... She collected her 700th career rebound at Maine with eight in the contest ... Taylor is the 7th player in program history with 1000 points and 700 rebounds ... She is nearly averaging a double-double with 9.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game for the Catamounts ... She became the 15th Catamount to reach the 600 rebound mark with nine at No. 21 Syracuse ... She ranks among the active leaders in America East in scoring (2nd - 1,003 career pts) and steals (5th - 107 career) ... Taylor ranks first among active leaders in rebounding in the league (711 career) and ranks second in the league in rebounding (8.6 rpg) and leads the conference in offensive rebounds (4.4 pg).
