BURLINGTON, Vt. - The Vermont men's basketball team will continue the ongoing effort to support the University of Vermont Cancer Center and breast cancer research by wearing special pink jerseys this upcoming week as part of the Rally Against Cancer/Play 4 Kay initiative.
The men's basketball team will host Hartford on Sunday (Feb. 14) at 2 p.m. in Patrick Gymnasium.
The men's game worn pink jerseys are currently being auctioned off at
uvmathletics.com/auctions with bids starting at $125 per men's jersey. The Rally Against Cancer games are presented to you by Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets. Proceeds from the online auction will support the University of Vermont Cancer Center. The auction will end on February 16 at 12 p.m.
All fans are encouraged to wear pink to the games as a way to show support for breast cancer research. The University of Vermont Cancer Center will also be tabling in the lobby along with Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets. A ceremonial jersey presentation will occur prior to the game with representatives from the University of Vermont Cancer Center, Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets and the Vermont Athletic Department.
