"I am thrilled to have
Jeff Hill and
Kyle Reynolds join our staff here at UVM," said head coach
Kevin Sneddon. "Adding two hockey alums to our staff is a great thing for our current players and coaches. Both Jeff and Kyle help balance our staff in key areas. Jeff will assume the role of Director of Operations handling responsibilities such as video, team travel, and many other team-related items. Kyle takes on the role of volunteer assistant coach while also attending graduate school here at UVM."
A former UVM goalie, Hill worked with Catamount goaltenders last season and helped the group post a combined 2.64 goals against average, .912 save percentage, and four shutouts. As a student-athlete, Hill won the team's Mike Gilligan Award for leadership and community service as a senior and was also a three-year member of the men's lacrosse team. He graduated from UVM with a degree in psychology and a minor in sociology.
After graduation, Hill served as an assistant coach at Rice Memorial High School, where he helped start the program with former UVM assistant coach Damian DiGiulian. He was an assistant and goalie coach at nearby St. Michael's College during the 2011-12 season and moved on to become the head coach and hockey director at Culver Military Academy before returning to Vermont.
Reynolds skated in 84 career games for the Catamounts from 2011-15. The forward registered 50 points on 20 goals and 30 assists, despite missing the entire 2013-14 season due to a serious knee injury. A native of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Reynolds was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team in 2012 after finishing fourth among league rookies with 23 points.
A Hockey East All-Academic Team selection during his time at UVM, Reynolds graduated in 2015 with a degree in finance and is now pursuing a master's degree in accounting.
