BURLINGTON, Vt. – Hanna Crymble eclipsed the 20-point mark for a third consecutive game, but that was not enough for the Catamounts as they dropped their fifth straight contest 57-41 to Boston University on Sunday afternoon. The game is UVM's only home December tilt until it hosts another Boston opponent, Northeastern, on Dec. 17.

Both teams struggled mightily from three-point range throughout the afternoon. BU finished with a 17% clip from downtown while UVM went 18% from distance, a season-low.
 
Nia Irving powered the Terriers off the bench. The sophomore from Maine scored 19 points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds for Boston. Sophie Beaudry chipped in with nine points and 12 rebounds, along with Katie Nelson, who tallied 12 points, six rebounds and six assists.
 
For the Catamounts, Crymble was the lone player to score double-figures as she finished with 21 points, six rebounds, three blocks and three steals. Kristina White contributed with seven points and seven rebounds in the first game that she did not start in this season.  Katie Lavelle pulled in six rebounds and registered four assists.
 
The Terriers started the game on a 10-0 run before the Catamounts cut the deficit to four and trailed 16-12 after the first quarter. UVM trailed 31-22 at halftime but could not claw back in the second half. 

BU is now 39-36 all-time against UVM after taking the 75th all-time meeting. The Terriers were members of the America East conference until 2013, when they joined the Patriot League.
  
Vermont is now 2-7 on the season and 2-4 at Patrick Gymnasium. Only four games remain in non-conference play before the America East schedule begins on January 3.
