ALBANY, N.Y. – The 23rd-ranked Albany Great Danes (10-3, 4-1 AE) took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break and added another pair in the second half to take a 3-0 victory over the Vermont Catamounts (5-8, 2-2 AE) Friday afternoon's at UAlbany's Alumni Turf.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Albany's Frederike Helmke tallied her sixth goal of the season to open the scoring Friday afternoon. She received a pass from Kelsey McCrudden off of a penalty corner and fired a shot past Sierra Espeland (7 saves) for the goal.
- The Cats received their first and only two penalty corners of the game to open the second half at Alumni Turf. On each corner, Vermont moved the ball to midfielder Rachel Phillips, but her shots on goal were blocked by the defense and stopped by Great Dane goalie Melissa Nealon (4 saves), respectively.
- Dana Bozak doubled the Great Dane lead in the 50th minute off of Albany's seventh penalty corner of the game.
- Elaina Burhcell made it 3-0 Great Danes in the 64th minute with her fifth of the season. Carli Pelletier picked up the assist on the goal.
- Albany finished the game with a 19-7 shots advantage and 7-2 edge in penalty corners.
