MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT
The conference matchup is also Military Appreciation Night presented by Milton Cat. Complimentary tickets are available for all military service members and their families with the presentation of a government issued ID at the Gutterson Fieldhouse Box Office.
DOUBLE DIGIT CAMPAIGN
Vermont will try to reach the 10-win plateau for the fourth consecutive season. UVM produced six straight seasons with double-digit wins from 1986-91, which included two conference championships (1989, 1990) and a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances (1989, 1990).
ONE-TWO PUNCH

Geo Alves and
Justin Freitas rank either first or second among the league's best during America East play. Alves has fired the most shots (23) in the conference while Freitas trails in second (14). Alves is also the frontrunner with three goals and Freitas is locked into a six-way tie in second with two goals. On the points list, the scoring tandem is flipped as Freitas leads the way with seven points and Alves is right behind him in second with six points. Freitas has also tallied three assists to lead conference. Overall, Alves has produced the third-highest shots per game average (4.86) and 25
th-most goals (9) in Division I. Freitas cracked the top-25 on the nation's list of top setup men at No. 24 with six assists.
SCOUTING STONY BROOK
The Seawolves bring their four-game conference winning streak and the highest-scoring offense in America East play to Burlington. Stony Brook has racked up 28 points on league opponents, 11 more than UMass Lowell and Vermont in second place. In addition to points, the Seawolves lead all America East teams with nine goals and 10 assists during league play. Stony Brook has a trio among the top scorers in conference play. Martieon Watson is tied for fourth with five points while Serge Gamwanya and Gabriel Fernandes follow in a sixth-place tie with four points. Goalie Christian Miesch has posted the best goals-against average on league foes at 0.50 with a pair of clean sheets.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont has been very successful against Stony Brook and holds a 10-5-2 edge over its conference rival. The Cats are in the midst of a six-game unbeaten streak against the Seawolves, including five wins during the six-game stretch. The Green and Gold are 8-0-1 all-time at home against Stony Brook.
