Ella Bankert scored her first goal of the season in the ninth minute as the Catamounts held on for a 1-0 win at Sacred Heart on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bankert got the Cats on the board in the ninth minute with her first goal of the season. Alyssa Oviedo was credited with an assist, her first collegiate point.
- Bankert tried to pad the lead 10 minutes later, but her shot ricocheted off the crossbar.
- In the 61st minute, the Pioneers were on the attack with a pair of corner kick opportunities but UVM's defense killed both chances.
- In the late minutes, the Catamounts' defense came up with two more stops. SHU's Alex Mesropyan leaped up for a header off a corner kick in the 83rd minute but her attempt flew wide right. Mesropyan tried again in the 87th minute but she could not get her header under the crossbar.
CATS WIN, COMMUNITY WINS
With the victory, the Cats Win, Community Wins campaign and Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate another $100 to the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington, bringing this year's total to 65 wins and $6,500.
