BURLINGTON, Vt. – UAlbany scored twice in the final four minutes of the match to hand Vermont a 2-1 setback in the regular season finale on Thursday night. The Catamounts finish the 2019 campaign with a 3-10-3 overall record and 1-5-2 in the conference standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the ninth minute, the Green and Gold found the back of the net on a free kick. Ella Bankert lofted a set piece towards the near post, then Natalie Duriuex headed a perfectly-placed ball into the bottom right corner of the net.
• The Great Danes netted the equalizer in the 86th minute. Claire Stackel toed a feed out wide for Leah Pais, who dished a cross back into the center of the box. Sophia Eifler finished the chance with a strike into the right side of the net.
• UAlbany scored the decisive goal with 1:35 left on the clock. Paise gained possession at midfield and pushed the ball up the field towards the box. As she approached UVM's backline, the freshman lined a low feed for Jasmine Colbert, who broke free and fired the game-winning goal into the bottom right corner of the net. 

GAME NOTES

• Goalie Kacey Lambertson recorded seven saves.
• Duriuex wrapped up her sophomore season with a team-best seven points and three goals.
• The match was the final contest for Vermont's two seniors – Brooke Jenkins and Christina Barry.
