STORRS, Conn. – Maude Poulin-Labelle's seventh goal of the season helped the Vermont Catamounts (5-2-5, 2-2-3 HEAW) force a tie with the UConn Huskies (6-4-1, 3-2-1 HEAW) on Friday night at the Freitas Ice Forum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Hockey East counterparts skated to a scoreless first period with UConn holding an 8-5 edge in shots. Blanka Škodová (14 saves) made a huge stop on Natalie Snodgrass to prevent the Huskies' leading scorer from capitalizing on a breakaway.
- Snodgrass was able to beat Škodová to take a 1-0 lead 37 seconds into the second period. Catherine Crawley and Trystin Svetek were credited with assists on the opening goal.
- UVM rookie Lily Humphrey registered her sixth goal of the season with 4:47 left in the middle frame. The forward collected a pass from Theresa Schafzahl and stickhandled around a Husky before tucking the puck past Morgan Fisher (18 saves). Val Caldwell earned her ninth helper of the season with the secondary assist.
- UConn responded 1:06 into the third period as Catherine Crawley's shot from the blue line found the back of the net. Morgan Wabick and Briana Colangelo assisted on the go-ahead goal, which came on a 5-on-3 power play.
- Poulin-Labelle netted her team-leading seventh marker with a wrist shot on a late power play. The sophomore's goal came with 6:45 left in regulation. Schafzahl dished out her second helper of the night and Sini Karjalainen posted her team-leading 11th assist.
NOTES
- The Catamounts have registered a power play goal in 10 of 12 games this season. UVM's unit is clicking at a league-leading 25.9% (14-for-52).
