DURHAM, N.H.  –
Hanna Crymble hit two free throws with 7.8 seconds left to cap off a Vermont rally and secure a 51-50 win over New Hampshire Wednesday night at Lundholm Gymnasium. With the win Vermont improved to 6-6 in conference play while the Wildcats fell to 3-9.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Candice Wright had seven points in the first quarter as the Catamounts established an early lead on the Wildcats. UVM led for 5:50 of the opening quarter. Lauren Handy hit a three-pointer with four seconds left in the first to give UVM a six-point margin at 19-13.
- In the second quarter the Wildcats used a 9-0 run to take a 24-21 lead. Caroline Soucy scored five points in the UNH run. Sarah Wells hit a layup at the buzzer to keep the Wildcats lead at three heading to the half.
- Candice Wright scored the Catamounts first four points of the second half and Josie Larkins nailed a three-pointer to tie the game at 32 at the 5:47 mark. Courtney Wright hit her first triple of the game to give UVM a 37-36 edge. Soucy replied with two three pointers in 54 seconds as UNH closed the quarter on a 7-0 run to take a 43-37 edge into the final frame.
- Courtney Wright scored seven points early in the fourth quarter as UVM went on an 8-2 run to tie the game at 45 with 4:46 left in regulation. With 60 seconds left in regulation Ivy Gogolin made a layup giving her 15 points on the night and establishing a three-point edge over the Catamounts.
- On the ensuing possession eight seconds later Candice Wright drew UVM within one with another layup giving her 15 points for the night. On the next New Hampshire possession Candice blocked two UNH attempts to setup the Catamounts chance to win.
- Following a pair of Vermont timeouts Hanna Crymble was fouled in the paint. The conference's best free throw shooter calmly hit both free throws to give Vermont their first lead since the 1:34 mark of the third quarter.
- UNH's Kali Grimm missed an off-balance jump shot at the buzzer as the Catamounts held on to win their sixth conference game of the season. UNH was 1-for-13 from the field in the fourth quarter.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Catamounts have six conference wins this season, tied for the most UVM has had since the 2009-10 season.
- Vermont outscored the Wildcats 32-22 in the paint.
- The Wright sisters combined for 28 of Vermont's 51 points.
- With the victory, the Cats Win, Community Wins campaign and Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate $100 to Make-A-Wish Vermont; bringing this year's total to 29 wins and $2,900.
