VESTAL, N.Y. – Kai Moon scored a game-high 21 points leading Binghamton to a 76-53 win over Vermont Saturday afternoon in America East action from Dr. Bai Lee Court at the Events Center. With the win the Bearcats improved to 6-6 in conference this season while the Catamounts fell to 6-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vermont took an early 6-0 lead in the first 1:32 of game action with buckets from Hanna Crymble, Sarah Wells and Josie Larkins. Moments later Emma Utterback converted a three-point play as UVM opened the game on a 9-2 run. The Bearcats responded with an 10-0 run keyed by eight points from Denai Bowman and took a 14-13 lead into the second frame.
- Binghamton used an 16-0 run over 5:32 of game action to take a 15-point lead with 2:47 left in the second quarter. Carly Boland had seven points in the quarter. The Bearcats held a 35-21 lead at the break.
- Kai Moon scored eight points in the third quarter and the Bearcats took a 16-point edge into the final frame.
- Over the first five minutes of the fourth quarter Binghamton hit three shots from downtown as a part of a 20-0 run that put the game out of reach.
- The Catamounts closed the game on a 15-2 run but were unable to complete the comeback ending their two-game conference winning streak.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Delaney Richason led the Catamounts in scoring with 12 points. She set a new career-high with four made three-pointers.
- Saturday was just the third time in 12 games where the Catamounts shot 40% from the field but lost.
- Binghamton forced 21 Vermont turnovers and scored 27 points off the Catamount turnovers. The 21 turnovers were the second-most by Vermont in a game this season.

Vermont returns home on Wednesday (February 19) as they host first place Stony Brook at 6 p.m. The Seawolves currently hold the nation's longest winning streak at 21 games, they are 12-0 in league play.
