BURLINGTON, Vt. – Former Catamount forward
Ross Colton is set to make his NHL debut with the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at 5 p.m. as the defending Stanley Cup Champions face Carolina. Tonight's matchup will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+ outside of the Tampa Bay and Carolina viewing area.

"You don't change your ways just because you got here, just keep doing the same things that he's been doing, he's earned his right here," said Lightning Head Coach Jon Cooper when asked about Colton. "I like when guys get in for their first game and seeing how they perform. So, happy for him, and another guy we've watched grow in the system and his work's paying off."
Colton will be the second former Catamount (Kevan Miller '11) to skate for an NHL team this season and the 18th in school history. He is former head coach
Kevin Sneddon's eighth former player to suit up for an NHL franchise.
Colton earned Hockey East Honorable Mention All-Star status in 2018 following his final season in Catamount Country after posting career-highs in goals (16), power play goals (8), and shots on goal (140). His posted 50 career points in just 69 games at Vermont.
