BOSTON – The 2022 America East Women's Soccer All-Conference, All-Rookie and All-Academic Teams were announced on Friday afternoon. Vermont was represented by Sydney Remington on the All-Rookie Team while Abbey Knobel was honored on the All-Academic Team.

The league's major award winners will be announced on Tuesday, November 1 at 3 p.m.
First year Sydney Remington earned her way onto the America East All-Rookie Team finishing tied for first in the conference in assists for first years (fourth overall) and finishing second in goals by a rookie (20th overall). The Calgary, Alberta native finished in the top 20 of the America East in shots on goal, goals, assists and points in her first season in the Green and Gold. In total, she amassed 10 points (18th in the America East) on three goals and four assists. Her 10 points were second for Vermont as well as her three goals, and her four assists led the Catamounts. This is the second straight year UVM has had at least one member named to the All-Rookie Team.
Abbey Knobel has accumulated and maintained a perfect 4.0 grade average as a junior Biomedical Engineering Major to earn a spot on the America East All-Academic Team. The Manuet, New York native appeared in all 16 matches for the Catamounts this season serving as a vital part of their midfield and attack. She finished tied for second on the team this season with two assists and registered two points while starting every game. She recorded 14 shots with five coming on net.
The Catamounts finished the 2022 season with a 4-9-3 record having reached the win column against Sacred Heart, LIU, Stonehill and Hartford. Despite their record only three of the Catamounts' nine losses came by more than one goal, with one of those three losses coming against No. 4 nationally ranked South Carolina.
